Welcome to Infected Media, the portfolio site of Steven Seybold, Art Director and Designer.
There are OODLES of social media outlets out there begging for our attention 24 hours a day. With so many, I have felt like I have had to carefully choose my battles and select just a handful of them to call my own. One of services that I am most active on is Instagram. I don't have to say much, all I have to do is shoot a photo, attach a cool filter and move on... maybe that's why I like Twitter so much...
"Wow, I can't believe the amount of snow that is left on the ground."
I don't have to write poetry or shoot like Susan Sontag in order to feel good about making a post with the services that I choose to embrace.
In any case, I'm getting a bit away from what I wanted to write about today. Instagram is GREAT! I love it, can't get enough. The only problem is when I want to show someone a photo that is in my feed that isn't already on Instagram. I have to go in on my iPhone and find the photo and email it out. I was hoping there would be an easy way for someone to find my feed on Instagram and just be able to view what I have posted recently. Thing is, Instagram doesn't offer that as a feature of their product. They do have an API so I began looking for a service that would use my username and create a fancy feed of what I post.
After a relatively small amount of time I found followgram.me. Joy! Now I can post to my heart's content and just give out my feed URL to friends and family who might want to watch what I'm up to. More likely, they will be more interested in what Julia is up to.
