3rd Anniversary

Three years ago I married my best friend. Every day that goes by I feel so blessed. Every year is better than the one before it. With the introduction of our daughter Julia, a whole new realm of love has been present in our lives. Thank you Kathy, I love you more every day... and I can't wait for tomorrow.

Today marks Julia's 9th month with us. How awesome is that!? I can't believe that before I know it, she will be a year old. Nuts! Get the cake ready! We're so blessed!

A Paper Record Player

I have been researching wedding invitations lately and when I saw this one, I almost fell over, I was so impressed. It is a booklet style invitation that has a working record player inside. Amazing! Check out the video below to see it in action.

Applewood Community Church

After months of slow development, I am pleased to announce that I finally launched the Applewood Community Church website. The new site is quite an improvement. Where previously updates were tedious and difficult, I built the new site within Wordpress so that every aspect of the site could be easily updated by church staff. Everything from events, announcements, sermons, and pages can now be easily updated within the powerful Wordpress CMS. Beyond the site, I was very glad to help with a rebrand of the church logo as well. After quite a few iterations, we settled on what you see today. It speaks very well to much of what the church is based on so not only does it look nice, it also speaks to the church family. Head on over and check it out today.

The Mountain - Daily Inspiration

I regularly scour the web to find anything to inspire me creatively. Most of the time I find inspiration in my own design comfort zones: web design, typography, color theory, etc. Sometimes I find inspiration when I'm not looking for it. That is what happened this lovely morning with a video I found via a Twitter post titled "The Mountain". After watching, I was filled with the urge to create something. I grabbed my sketchbook and am now going to town. Later, I want to grab my Nikon and head out on a photography mission to find something wonderful. I'm so lucky to love what I do. Are you doing what you love? If not, why not? Life is too short to not be enjoyed.
