Where the Cold Wind Blows

Introducing a fresh new logo that changes according to wind & temp changes. How dope is that? QUOTE: The visual identity is based on two main ingredients; our newly developed payoff, “Where nature rules,” and weather statistics from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute. A feed of weather statistics affects the logo to change when the direction of the wind or the temperature changes. On the website, the logo updates every five minutes. We developed a logo generator where Visit Nordkyn can download their logo to the exact weather conditions of that particular moment. Nordkyn is truly a place where nature rules, even over the visual identity.

Cool Hunting Video

I don't subscribe to a lot of video podcasts... or audio podcasts for that matter. Of the handful that I do enjoy, Cool Hunting Video is way up near the top. “Founded in 2003, Cool Hunting is a destination for creative professionals and those looking for the newest original content spanning everything from molecular gastronomy to conceptual design.” What it really is on a more basic level is truly interesting and massively addicting.

Artist Stephen Wiltshire

This astonishing 18ft drawing of the world’s most famous skyline was created by autistic artist Stephen Wiltshire after he spent just 20 minutes in a helicopter gazing at the panorama. The unbelievably intricate picture was drawn at Brooklyn’s prestigious Pratt Institute from Stephen’s memory, with details of every building sketched in to scale. Landmarks including the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building can be seen towering above smaller buildings after just three days in his spellbinding creation.
